Our Pets' Advice

We asked VHUP Oncology clients this question:

What do you think your pet would tell other dogs or cats about treatment at VHUP?

Nothing but good things. -- Megan

When it is good, it is good, but when it is bad, it is bad. -- Lucy

Take the days as they come and ask for a lot of attention and love and you will do fine. - Canaille

It's not that bad, especially if you know where the "treats" are!  -- Elmo

Milk it for all the sympathy you can (and don't sweat the details). --  Berry The Dog

It's uncomfortable but it works.  -- Jake

I love the doctors and nurses at Penn!  -- Kobycat.

Speaking of LOVE, I see the word is out that Dr. Baez and I had a "thing" going on.  I tried not to be too obvious about it, but when you are only at VHUP once a week or less, you've got to take your opportunities where they find you.  -- Kirby

Relax - the treatment will be over quickly and everyone will take good care of you.  -- Hannah   (That's Kira, one of the "companion mammals" who takes good care of me at home!)

The people at Penn were great to me and it wasn't that bad. -- Yapper

It's not that bad, everyone is so nice, and I get to spend a lot of one-on-one time with my mom (who makes yum-yum peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the ride home!).  -- Maggie
